Background

This time our adventure starts in the ski area of Saint-Gevais Les Bains / Megève. Just a few kilometres from the popular destination of Chamonix and only an hour from Geneva. You will be based out of the 2* Hotel Liberty Mont-Blanc (or similar alternative) which overlooks the gorge that runs through the small and quintessentially French town of Saint Gervais. The hills and alpages below Mont Joly (2,525m) provide a perfect play ground to run some trails all the while provide stunning views of the Mont Blanc Massif, Chaîne des Aravis and Chaîne des Fiz. These trails are more remote than many of the steep sided faces in the Chamonix valley and given the many possibilities of either chasing summits, running through pine soaked forests or alongside rushing mountain streams you are sure to find the true heart of real trail running. Your guides will pick the route each day depending on the weather and strength of the group and since we will be using at least 2 guides we will be able to cater for different abilities. Both nights at the hotel include continental breakfast. On the Friday evening we will meet up for dinner in Saint Gervais, this will give you a chance to meet your Lead Runners, the Run the Wild team and also your fellow runners. As with all Run the Wild holidays, all you have to do is book your flights, turn up and run - we will take care of the rest!

Accommodation & Transport

Two nights in the 2* Hotel Liberty Mont-Blanc (or similar alternative) including breakfast and an evening meal in a restaurant in Saint Gervais from a set menu on the first night. Saint Gervais also has a modern indoor/outdoor pool which includes sauna and steam room as well as ice rink. The town also has a few bars and restaurants including the 1 Mitchelin starred Le Serac. Transport during the holiday will be provided where needed. Transport to/from Saint Gervais via Geneva can be booked via one of the many minibus operators.
