CHAMONIX RUNNING WEEKEND
Chamonix is a dream destination for any trail runner. Located at the base of the stunning, snow-covered Mont Blanc, standing 4810m tall, the town offers an inspiring backdrop with its beautiful trails and lively atmosphere. The valley is home to the renowned UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc) race series, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
This is a great weekend for those new to trail running in the Alps or are returning looking to explore more of the beautiful area. As a small group we will be exploring the higher balcony paths above Chamonix on the first day as well as do a cheese tasting with the local farmer! Also on saturday after the run, there is an optional session focused on mountain race preparation and training. On Sunday we will be exploring more gentle trails and possibly using local transport to seek out the best routes.
Each day, your guide will help you improve your uphill and downhill techniques, making you a more proficient and confident mountain runner. Along the way, you’ll learn about the local history, flora, fauna, and geography.
On Friday evening, the group meets for dinner with the Run the Wild Team. This weekend is a great opportunity to make new friends and enjoy the best of views from the trails in Chamonix.
