BACKGROUND

Join us this spring time for a stunning trail run through the bluebell carpeted forest of Ashridge in the Chiltern Hills! It's a fun morning out on the trails, with trail running tips along the route by our expert local guides.

All abilities are catered for, so whether you want to push your speed or prefer a more relaxed morning out you will be well looked after. As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and each group led by one of our experienced Run Leaders who will route find and set the pace for you. We walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way.

The distance will be around 13km. The run starts at Musette Cafe, based in the quintessentially English village of Aldbury. All our guides are local UKA run leaders, and when not running can be seen sipping coffee at Musette's. We will end the run back at the cafe which is a great place to get a post run coffee, smoothie or a freshly cooked trail runners' breakfast!

The event is easily accessible, just 40 minutes North West of London by rail or road and there is free on-site parking for all runners.

ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORT

You will need to arrange your own transport to the start of the adventure in Aldbury, but there are regular trains from London Euston to Tring Station which take around 40 minutes and is only a short walk to the meeting point. There is also an onsite free car park should you prefer to drive. Accommodation is available nearby, please get in touch if you would like any recommendations.

ABILITY

The event is inclusive to new trail runners and also those who are regularly out on the trails. We will group participants by their ability but you need to have run 5km non-stop in the past (doesn't need to have been a race time). We will cater for the following paces: 7-9km, 9-11km, 11km+ an hour on the flat or road. We stop a few times on the route to re-group and also to cover off knowledge tips. The Lead Runner for your group will route find and as all with our running adventures you will be expected to run as part of the team. First time trail runners welcome!

TIMING & LOCATION

The event will start at 8.45am, at the Musette's, Aldbury which has free parking and is walking distance from Tring Station with direct train connections to London Euston. The run will finish around 10.45am, but you are welcome to stay longer for a breakfast at Musette's (full details in your booking pack).
