ITINERARY
Day 1:
Leaving Tring, you’ll be led as a small team through the country footpaths towards Bledlow. Since all our trips are guided, you can enjoy the scenery, focus on your running and style. The path winds along a quiet trail through deep woods, grassy ridges and steep hills as well as through hamlets mainly seen in period dramas. 18 miles later and a few hills behind you, it’s time to get to the accommodation for a hot shower, a few drinks and dinner. Unlike races we emphasise the social aspect of our events. There will be plenty of time to chat about your running past and ambitions with your team members. We will also be showing some inspirational films.
Day 2:
Following a good night sleep in a comfortable bed and a hot breakfast, you’ll be ready to take on the second day where we follow a different route back through Chiltern Hills. The trails undulate along grassy outlooks, through beech and oak woods and through more tiny English villages. 36 miles completed and you will be rewarded with a RtW tech shirt.
GETTING THERE
The event starts from The Home Office, Tring is just 40 minutes North West of London with train links from Euston. Tring train station is just 10 minutes’ walk away and also has a taxi rank. There is an on-site free car park. Accommodation is available nearby, please get in touch if you would like any recommendations.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation on the Saturday night will be at the comfortable Peacock Country Inn near Bledlow. Rooms are on a twin sharing basis unless you request for a single room at a supplemental rate of £75.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
“This was my first Run the Wild experience and I loved it. I did the two day challenge – 30km per day – and it was brilliantly organised, fun, well-supported and super friendly. Pre-event comms are comprehensive and registration was slick (toilets at the start were a welcome addition!). The guides were friendly, interesting and knowledgeable – they judged the group pace well and I felt nicely challenged (but not struggling) on both days. The pub we stayed in was great! Clean, comfy rooms and delicious food. I would recommend this to anyone, and can’t wait to sign up to my next RtW event.”
“A big thank you to the Run The Wild Team for another awesome weekend of running! You really do set the bar for super efficient and organised trail running events, it all runs so smoothly and I know a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes to make it all seamless. As a Run Leader back at my club I can really appreciate the time and dedication required for the whole team to come together and make things work.
It’s a relaxed environment with no pressure on pace, you can fully immerse yourself in nature and get chatting to those around you.
For me RTW allows me to enjoy the full freedom of trail running whilst learning more about my environment along with how to become a stronger trail runner! Learning facts about bluebells or how to help get rid of stitches and tips on how to run hills, the whole experience is just fantastic, it’s relaxed, fun, engaging and I learn something new every time I attend an event. I can’t wait to experience my first taste of running in the Alps in September! A big thanks to Simon, and all the team for a brilliant weekend!”
BEN | MAY 2022
